Sons of Zion Live in Sydney
The MissTez Media Crew were thrilled to receive a call from the Nesian Roots Entertainment Team with an invite to be the official Media Crew for the Sons of Zion (SOZ) Sydney Show!!!!
Sons of Zion are new era Reggae band who infuses their sound with a bit of island reggae, Roots & RnB with a dash of dub! The guys originate from various areas through-out Aotearoa but are currently based in South Auckland.
The band is definitely on the rise, spreading their unique sound through-out the islands of Hawaii, Guam, Japan, Tahiti & the Pacific Islands, quickly fast tracking their way to the stages in the US!!!!
So our crew set out in the late afternoon to attend sound check with the guys and started to conduct our video interviews with each individual member of the band. Our aim was to create a Vox Pops style promotional video for the group to promote their upcoming single due to be released at the end of April 2016.
We had a bunch of questions ready to throw at the boys and the interview process was so much fun!!!
We had soo many laughs during the filming and surprisingly there very little bloopers throughout!! The guys were very confident when it came to lights, camera,action!!!! The SOZ crew were so chilled and down to earth which made it a very smooth and easy process.
We then continued on into the night to film and photograph the show and it was none other than a ground shaking performance!!! It was a full house inside the theatre, the atmosphere was crazy irie!!! The people were all out just to have a good time, to vibe to some beautiful reggae music and Sons of Zion delivered just that plus more!
The show took place at the The Factory Theatre in Marrickville. This was the boys first independent tour out to Australia. The tour kicked off in Sydney then headed south to Melbourne without a day to spare. SOZ have returned home for the week and will be jet setting back to Australia this weekend to bless our stages in Brisbane Bunbury and Perth.
